I need a new charger after my old halfords one died.

I’m really looking to charge/maintain a 90ah leisure battery, a big (>100ah) battery on my tractor and a smaller battery on my lawn mower.

Before I pop down and pick up one of these for £20 – is there any particular reason that I should be spending more on something like a CTEK charger – if so, why?

I’ve got the older version of that and it’s fine for all your needs.

Mower, landy, leisure battery, all fine. It’s v smart and manages charges well and efficient.

It’s clunky form factor and tatty cable tidy is not great but for 20 it’s acceptable.

Depends on how much future proofing you want really.

If you have a car with stop/start tech, AGM or EFB battery technology you may want to consider a charger that can deal with these.

If you are only ever likely to charge standard lead-acid batteries then the Halfords one will be fine.
