I know RS list their SID as a XC/Race fork but should they be okay for general, wheels on the ground, trail use?

I have a pair of RCT3 SIDs that I bought a few years ago and am now looking to deploy.

Choices are either to replace some X Fusions on my Trance or to go soon the front of a HT – Both would be used for everyday trails riding rather than purely XC race.

I’m about 90KGish although I don’t believe that should be a concern as I cannot see a weight limit listed for SIDs.

    Any thoughts, users, feedback?

Have SIDs on my main bike. Gets lots of regular use including frequent trips to Welsh trail centres.

I’m not dead yet and the forks are still happy after 2 years of abuse.

Likewise – I put some on a Trek Stache, they’ve been fine.

Have SID RCT3s on my only bike, fine round welsh trail centres, including leaving the ground on occaision (as little as possible mind). I really like them.

Look at what SIDs go through in WC XC!
    You’ll be fine!
