Now have 1 bike with 10sp on it- shimano/sram. What type of powerlinks can i use on it in case of emergency chain snaps etc? Any recommendations?

    Cheers!

Sram powerlock. You’re only supposed to use them once though.

the sram ones i got from my lbs are to be used with a tool and i couldn’t join them even with pliers. the mechanic said to stamp on the pedals.
i purchased some kmc powerlinks instead, much easier and reusable.

Any link designed for 10spd – I use KMC, reusable.

Never had a problem reusing SRAM links though.

The SRAM ones are not intended to be reused, irrespective of whether people have.

    KMC work for me.
