    does it make an appreciable difference in stiffness over QR?

    I changed mine, mainly because I needed a new skewer and it seemed a thing to try. Can't feel any difference but maybe it depends on the bike? My Nicolai Helius is supposed to be fairly stiff, anyway.

    Sorry to Hijack the thread, (it was just the top one when I logged in), I've got a brand new (still with tag attached), DT Swiss RWS 10mm x 150mm axle – http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=21670
    for sale if you fancied giving it ago, bought in error, have now bought a 135mm instead.

    I did this on my HL 5spot and it made a slight difference.

    I doubt you'd notice on a hardtail and certain suspension designs.
