  • 100mm rebas with a mmmbop or handjob?

    i'm thinking about getting either a mmmbop or handjob as a warranty replacement frame and was wandering if my 100mm rebas would be compatable or would more travel be ideal for them frames?

    On an mmmbop you'll be wanting 140mm. I've got Vanillas on mine.

    The HJ is OK with 100mm forks, but better a bit longer.

    Do your forks adjust internally to 115mm? That'd be great.

    yeah think they'd go to 120mm,so that's a no to ragley then?

    120mm Rebas are perfect for my HJ.

    140mm on a HJ here – Cove recommend a maximum 510mm axle – crown (not travel), a Pike is 518mm and a Fox 32 140mm fork is 510mm. Travel adjust will aid steep / prolonged climbs.

    I found 130mm forks (old Revelations and Vanilla R130's – dunno A-C) made the front of the HJ feel a bit far away and just weird. It is a cross-country bike after all, not a long-travel hardtail. But horses for courses I guess…
