Borrowing a mates orange alpine for a weekend instead of my 100mm steel hardtail. It’s an orange alpine, anything to note?

You smash it you bought it?
It will feel shite riding uphill in comparison
    It will feel better downhill

You’ll think it’s alright for a bit then want to go back to your hard tail – trust me!

Run the rear end stiffer rather than softer.
It climbs better than you expect it to (mine is 2lb heavier than my HT but climbs way better on the rough stuff).
    It’s a total hoot downhill.

    (130mm steel hardtail and Alpine 160 26 owner/rider)
