So my mate is looking to get a new bike, he’s looking for something lighter than he’s had before, went from and saracen mantra to an orange crush. and the other weekend the he hired out a genisis latitude 10 when we were down at mabie while the orange was getting fixed, and he loved the lightness of it compared to what he has riden previously..

So really he’s just looking for some recommendations on new bikes, obvious he fancies the latitude, and i’ve mentioned the merlin malt 4 as i quite fancy that myself, but i don’t keep up much with things, so anyone care to jump in with anyother suggestions?

Bike will be used cross country mostly with rocky descents chucked in for fun, and it’s first trip with be up to aviemore and then on to golspie..

Also what would you rather go for the latutide 10 and the core 40?

First £1000 can have it, before I split it up for bits…. it now has Hope M4 brakes, 203mm and 183mm rear and are the same age as the bike, four months…. 19″ frame and cost £2200 to build in March
