in haste of putting new groups on, I put the shimano chain on the wrong way round. new connector pin on the way from CRC, but is there any damage to be done running it the wrong way round for a couple of days?

I did the same, been like that for about 2 months, one Scottish Enduro and the EWS. Shifts perfectly, no extra chain growth or wear.

    If there’s a local flood/ plague/famine/ murder/ pedo incident it’ll all be your fault.
Apart from that it’ll be fine and you won’t even notice when you put it the “right way round”

It will not shift as well as it would if it was the right way round , sometimes it will hardly index at all but it won’t affect the wear rate .
