    Hello,

Will the above work. E.g. An xx1 chain set with a SRAM 10 speed chain…. And not be too loose and fall off?

    Thanks,

    P

Do you mean running an XX1 chainring/crank with a 10 speed cassette & mech?

XX1 chainring runs fine with a 10 speed set up. Friend of mine does exactly this.

If you’re looking to do this, cheaper option is a thick/thin chainring from Works Components / Wolf Tooth / Raceface / and loads of others. They all do the same job. They work best with a 10 speed chain (even on a 9 speed set up).

Yes, I was thinking of buying a xx1crank set. I need a new crank and chain ring so was going to buy both as it works out fairly cheap.
    Thanks,

    P
