He was a bit gutted following handlebar snappage at start of 3rd lap whilst leading (snapped pulling up – how ggrrrrrr is that!) Someone somewhere has a photo of him still overtaking people downhill with half a handlebar. And his only good brake was the rh lever…. 🙂
They ended up 3rd in pairs sharing one bike for most of the day.
