Just because your + is a bigger number than someone else’s + doesn’t make your shared opinion more valid, somehow better, or actually FACT

    Just saying’ like. 😉

On a different note, is it possible to square infinity? That’s like travelling FOREVER in one direction, then turning round and coming back again, surely?

    +/- a lot.

Zero is the sum of nothing, nine zero’s is nine times the sum of nothing.

or, if the universe is spherical, circumnavigating it twice.

there was a very good documentary on the concept of infinity and the fact there’s more than one infinity, infinities bigger than other infinities… delightfully mind boggling yet easy to understand at the same time.

Sorry Binners. I’m bringing in a new rule. +/-1 is all that’s allowed unless you are actually the size of more than one average person. As a rule of thumb I suggest +2 if you’re over 24 stone, +3 over 36 stone, +4 over 48 stone etc.

I might allow +2 for those with personality disorders though. I’ll think about it.

Is this the BBC4 one I watched which talked a lot about mathematicians trying to comprehend it an ultimately all going insane?

Infinity is a concept not a number, so you can’t do arithmetic on it. So no.

Yes & no. Is concept, however…
See Hilberts Hotel for how to square infinity.

Surely the size of the universal is infinity cubed since it goes on for infinity along each axis.
