Am I right in thinking this is an Advanced 2? http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-in/bikes/model/xtc.advanced.2/5470/39644/

Two questions:

1. What size is it? I know Giant have described their L size as both 19" (http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/model/xtc.advanced.3/4893/39097/) and 20" (http://www2.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bikes/mountain/2440/32679/?collections_id=4), I haven't seen a 20.5" model labelled as large. Is it large?

2. Is it still for sale?

Many thanks,

Paul

Forgot to mention, the pedals are currently well lodged into the pedal inserts of the cranks, this does not write off the cranks, as the inserts are replaceable, and the pedals are running well at present.

Great condition Kona Kula frame, light and handles well.

Selling as have bought a slightly bigger frame with more relaxed geometry.

I have taken a few photos here on Flickr where you can see any scuffs and paint chips. Flickr Pictures Note that all these areas were covered with clear nail varnish as soon as noticed so the frame is in such a great condition still. The boys in the local shop were amazed when I told them it was an 06 model due to the condition it is in.
I am a "clean" rider so there hasn't been a period of time where the frame has been left filthy for long!

Any questions please fire away and I shall do my best to answer.

Location: Sheffield. Can post it, Parcelforce 48hr is £12.

Having spent sometime building this bike up I have had absolutely no use for it as I always seem to prefer my full suss, only ridden once since being built.

Therefore in order to fund a new full suss frame this one has to go.

So, for sale.....

Pipedream Sirius:

Frame - Red, Large, with Crank Bros Colbalt SL headset (Stainless Steel one), in fantastic condition with only a couple of small marks on the rear chainstay.

Forks - Fox 100RL in excellent condition, no marks at all to stanchions and only a couple of small marks to the decals on one lower.

Cranks - Shimano Deore, only used a few times and have slight rub of decals.

Front Mech - Shimano XT, excellent condition

Rear Mech - Shimano XT, great condition with just a couple of marks.

Shifters - Shimano LX, excellent condition

Gear Cabling - All brand new Jagwire

Cassette - SRAM P970, like new with only 100 or so miles

Chain - SRAM PC971 (with Powerlink), condition as cassette.

Brakes - Avid Elixr 5, white in excellent condition.

Brake Discs - Avid G3 (185 & 160mm), excellent condition.

Seat Post - Thomson Elite 27.2mm, great condition with some rub below visible area.

Saddle - SDG Bel Air Ti Rail, good condition, decals slightly rubbed, no rips or tears.

Seat Post Clamp - Salsa, great condition

Wheelset - Mavic XM321 with 6 bolt Shimano XT Hubs, used a handfull of times, running true, and with only one very small mark I can find on the front rim, no dents, excellent condition.

Stem - Syncros AM, excellent condition.

Bars - GT Riser Bars, great condition.

Tyres - Continental Explorer 2.1 Rear & Continental Vertical 2.3 Front

All in all this bike is in excellent condition and took me several weeks to build so that the parts I got were in fantastic condition.

This is a great handling, great condition steel hardtail for a great price!

Looking for £575.

Based in Devon, buyer to collect, but I would meet up to 100 miles (so as far as Bristol), can arrange a courier at buyers expense (£20).

STILL For Sale - Dialled Bike Prince Albert frameset. As previously owned by other STW members!

Bright orange, 15.5" frame (fits me at 5'10", for a 'chuckable' bike).

Reasonably good condition, fair amount of chips and scratches, but you know how tough these are. No bent bits, dents, or actual scary damage. Chainstay all taped up. Purely aesthetic.

More photos available on email. Frame is getting in the way now!

£115 pick up. Can post too.

I am selling my Specialized p1, which is a mid “naughties” model (2005 I think) to start saving for a full suspension Freeride bike. The bike rides well, and I’m sad to see it go, but it doesn’t have the gears to get me up hills, being a single speed. It's a lovely bike, not ridden much due to my diminishing courage of late, and regression to my XC bike The bike is largely custom, and the set up is as follows;

Frame: Specialized p.1
Fork: Marzocchi Z1 Sport (2006 I believe)
Rims: Singletrack front and rear
Hubs: Hope Pro 2 up front and single speed Halo on the back
Brake: Avid Juicy Five (recently professionally bled)
Cranks: Truvativ Hussefelt
Pedals: DMR V8
Tyres: DMR Moto Diggers (F&R)
Saddle: DMR Dirt Jump Saddle
Bars: Answer ProTaper
Stem: 24 Bicycles Stem (might be an old model of the Dedge, not sure?)

Asking price is £350, the bike is in Hurstpierpont, near Brighton.

I’m selling my 2011 KTM hardtail XC bike. Its got approximately 14 hours riding on it since I got it in July. The bike is as new with the exception of a couple of cosmetic scratches (all highlighted in the video below). Its a truly pro XC race bike decked out from front to back in top end kit and coming in at 9kgs with pedals, there’s no excuses!

I used the bike in a couple of rounds of the Irish NPS series, the Bull Raid (2nd place in 12 hour pairs) and Bontrager 24/12 (2nd place in 12 hour pairs). Plenty of more information about me and the racing can be found here - http://www.richieclose.com. The 2011 KTM catalogue can be found here - http://www.ktm-bikes.at/service/online-kataloge.php?lang=EN. Pics and a video of the bike below also.

I’m based in Ireland but in my mind the bike is well worth a trip over if you wanted to try before you buy.

I forgot to add the frame size. Its 19"/48cm which is medium. I am 5ft11 (180cm) and it fits me perfectly so would also suit someone slightly shorter or taller.

I'm selling my KTM Myroon Prestige carbon hardtail to make room for a new bike. Its the top end XC hardtail from KTM with full XTR (2x10) groupset including brakes, DTSwiss XRC 100 fork (lightest production suspension fork), DTSwiss Tricon wheelset and top end Ritchey carbon finishing kit. Its the original factory spec with nothing changed. I got the bike at the end of June on a sponsorship deal and used it for some races in July and August and nothing since so its only had two months use and is in pristine condition (just a couple of light cosmetic scratches and scuffs). Also the fork was serviced at the end of the season at the UK DTSwiss service centre and it hasn't been ridden since.

The spec is:
-DTSwiss XRC Twin Shot Race 100mm forks with remote lockout
-Full 2011 XTR Groupset 2x10
-DTSwiss XM1550 Tricon wheelset
-Ritchey carbon finishing kit
-Schwalbe Rocket Rons

Complete spec and details can be found in the 2011 catalogue here: http://www.ktm-bikes.at/service/online-kataloge.php?lang=EN.

I used the bike for the Bontrager TwentyfourTwelve (2nd place 12hr mens pairs), Irish XC National Championships (10th place Elite), Bull Raid (2nd place 12hr mens pairs) and a couple of Irish NPS rounds. Its the fastest bike I've ever ridden and the build is as good as you can get!

I'm looking for £2,200 (2,650 euro). Original price is £4,750 (5,700 euro). The bike is in Dublin but I can arrange shipping to the UK included in the price.

I'll add a link to more photos shortly.

Thanks,

frame size I cant remember. can i measure it, if so from where to where or will it be written on it somewhere? If there are more detailed questions about the bike, or the kit on it I can call merlin and see if they still have all my order details which would be exactly right as all I have added is 2 naff pedals and a pump

The forks are not really a problem. Just doesn't inspire confidence. Easily fixed... just turn the bars round (don't over tighten the nut on the top as you might damage the bearings)

Re price... My rule of thumb is "second hand = half price".

Best of luck

I just thought, if I loosened the handlebar turned the wheel around and tightened it up again, would that fix the forks problem?
