Mine has-

SID Race forks
Full XT drivetrain with dual control
Race Face carbon bars and alloy bits (I'd have gone carbon but money didn't allow)
XTR hubs on Stans Olympic rims with Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres.

Mine's at the "robust" end of the XC scale, though and weighs 24lbs with a Giant Anthem X frame. It's more Enduro bike than full on racer.

If I were going for full lightweight I'd go

XTR
Sid Races (world cups are mental expensive)
XTR hubs on Stans Race
Lightest cockpit I could get away with, probably Easton EC90 or Race Face Next.

Bruce,
In the process of building up a S-Works frame to do some of the MTB races next year with you... So this is what i have decided on.

Full FSA K-Force finishing kit.
XTR Groupset
American Classic MTB 26 wheels
Fox F100 RL Forks

Its nowhere near done yet, but looking good so far...

And, I have tried the R7's before, alot lighter than the Sids or Fox's, but something wasn't quite right. Think you can get alot better for the money.

Josh...
