FunkyDunc - Feel for you there! When our eldest had her first Toddler puke... *shudder* it's another level, you are correct!

Our 11 day old lad woke us up at about 4:30 this morning - with the loudest farting ever!! Still, on the boob and then we could all snooze until his sister was up at 6:30...

Ah wonderful just spent the last hour cleaning bits of sick off various floors upstairs following Jnr FD's vomitting sessions, this was another level of sick not encountered before, no longer relatively week smelling baby sick but putrid smelling toddler sick. Picking the bits of undigested fish and part digested peas up was particularly nice.

Now to sleep in a room that stinks of puke while Mrs FD nurses Jnr next door already been told though if it continues for more than a couple of hours I can expect to swap bucket holding duty

'morning!
What's the correct etiquette for grinding the coffee beans when the littlest one arises? I say, that if I am awake, it's ok. My wife says, I need to wait until 2 y.o. awakes as her bedroom is above the kitchen.

Morning all ...
Staying with my brother and his heavily pregnant other half. My 6 y.o. daughter trots into my room at 5:30, ouch. After 5 minutes realise her 1 y.o. sister is awake. Make bottle, wake up mad spaniel and therefore the whole house. Everyone back to bed, but no sleep so give up and come downstairs.
Watching cat in the hat. More coffee needed.
Good insight into the future for my bro though

Tilt the little uns bed up with a few books, vicks on chest and back and olbas oil really help with coughs. I feel your pains as I've suffered hugely with sleep deprevation and massive sleep debt in the past.. wo much so I collapsed and ended up in casualty with heart palpitations, complete exhaustion and severe fatigue. Its not until you build up a large sleep debt that you realise how important proper restful sleep is. There is no manning up when you get past a certain point of fatigue.. your body just stops.

for all my showing off leading up to xmas regarding yunki Jr and his 12 hours uninterrupted every night I am now paying a karmic price..

He's still sleeping through... BUT.. with Mrs yunki now 8 months pregnant and quite immobile and uncomfortable and grumpy through lack of sleep.. it has fallen to me to be the life and soul of the party as I steer yunki Jr (and the stranded Mrs yunki..) through our third and most exciting xmas as a family..

Only I'm flipping ill.. not cold and sniffles ill.. or man flu or overindulgence ill.. or run down and exhausted ill.. or even real flu or food poisoning.. but an inflammatory bowel disease which is very much a cunning combination of all the above but with added misery and discomfort.. and it could take weeks for the IBD to go into remittance..

It's now becoming a bit of a struggle and I'm wondering how long it will be before it starts to get me down.. aah well... at least there's another bambino on the way..

I think I'll just pop out for a morning ride for the sake of my sanity..
aah..

no I won't.. I'm weak as a kitten and my lower half feels like I've been run over.. and I'm almost guaranteed to poo myself anyway

Daughters plan to enhance my performance when operating on minimal sleep seems to be working. Her recent sleep depravation techniques meant that when she woke earlier I got up, got her up, started getting ready for breakfast and only glanced at the clock briefly to see how much of a lie in we had had. Only then did I realise that it was... 3.30 am! Felt pretty good on the 4 hours until then so assumed I would be awesome come actual get up time (alarm at 6.30 to try and recover some normal routine whilst I am off for the holidays). Maybe awesome was optimistic but not too bad, and she is only just rousing now...
Considerable improvement on her recent screaming fits of the last few days that we haven't quite fathomed yet. Oh, and she is nearly 20 months now, so don't assume once they are sleeping through that you gave cracked it, it can come back again later. The 3 hours of sleep nights recently have made me all musty eyed and nostalgic for the good old days of a newborn

Yes they need shimming.Weight wise they are similar to my enve carbon bars. They are very comfy (i find) on my rigid ss but performance wise, cant say theyre any better at all than carbon, they just go well with my ti stem.ti frame,ti seatpost.I like ti.

Interested in both their weight and performance; ie better/lighter than equivilent carbon?

Edit - Am I right, that they need shimming?
