I suffered from a "habitual" dislocation of my left shoulder for about 15 years.

I must of dislocated 20 times at least.

When I first did it it would reduce itself if I just lay face down on a table or similar with my arm dangling. However, it got worse and then I needed to attend A&E to have it reduced.

I then got the surgery done and it has been fine since, I don't have the full range of movement but I didn't before as my shoulder could just drop out and rotated backwards!

I would strongly recommend the surgery, if it dislocates when your in a remote location and doesn't reduce then you could be in trouble.

I used to use something similar to this which helped.

I was seriously considering one as my car when my Octavia lease ended, despite a very good experience with two Skodas I just didn't like the exterior styling of it, which is something I couldn't compromise on for 4 years. Never had an issue with either of the two Skodas we had mind and the customer service from our local dealer was/ is great.

As a Liverpool fan I can say hand on heart what has happened is not good for the club but it needs an understanding from everyone. Firstly Suarez was wrong in what he said. Liverpool as a club should have made him understand what can and can't be said and he should have been introduced to John Barnes and had racism explained to him properly and if he was a genuine guy, maybe just maybe his attitude would have changed. I also believe the FA should have ensured he went through an educating program to let him see the error of his ways.
I personally believe that Liverpool don't want to rock the boat with him, in case he up sticks and leaves which is very very wrong and not the way it should be. Liverpool as a club SHOULD have told him he was wrong and all this crap that's now going on maybe wouldn't be here and football could carry on and just get on with it. As normal, we don't have all the facts, we don't know whats going on behind the scenes but I hope Kenny is not being left out on a limb with this defence of Suarez when surely someone higher in the club should actually say something on the matter instead of sitting on the fence.
I hope it all goes away very quickly for the sake of football and decency for everyone.

Fill up the resevoir with 33% antifreeze 66%water mix.

The system took 2.5 litres. Ouch.

It has been running for a whilst now and has not dropped any water?

The thermostat is working I think. The water pump was not engaged when cold. Then when getting up to temperature the water pump engaged. However I cant be completely convinced due to only being able to feel warm pipe versus cold pipe on the inlet and outlet of the water pump.

2.5 litres is a lot to lose.

The protected bit applies to the current policy. When you change insurance cos you have a level of no claims to transfer. You can then opt to protect within the new policy.
Of course the killer is that they will load the premium based on how much you've cost in payouts over the past 5 years and then 'discount' this according to the bonus you have accrued.
Swings and slides innit!

I think you've every right to ask for some funds towards a carpet repair.

If he stated he was going 'off the books' that might mean he's doing outside his company books, not necessarily outside Tax regulations. Does he have a boss??

Clearly you're not going to recommend him to anyone, indeed you'll encourage people to avoid his work; he might need to be reminded of this before he makes his decision. A contribution towards a repair might be appropriate.

Lol! In keeping with the (not a) lot of love for the OP: OP, accept your role in this matter and make good the existing repair. Learn from the experience about the dangers of doing something on the cheap.

However, if you want to make someone else pay, put the easily-confused father-in-law into care out of spite. Maliceously report the plumber for issuing gas certificates for cash. When the next tenants arrive, omit to mention the repair on the house inventory and when they leave, wickedly claim they did it and keep their deposit.

Why would they? You've effectively paid protection money to one company, but nothing to the new company. Doesn't make business sense.

I'm a Liverpool fan. I wasn't at OT yesterday but was at Anfield on Monday for Luis' return and I cheered as loud as the next man. I don't agree with the way that Suarez acted towards Evra back in October, but I certainly think it has been portrayed in the media as much more one way than it actually was, as pointed out earlier in the thread, by Evra's own admission he engaged in a conversation with Suarez about ethnicity before the use of the word Negro by Suarez. I think a ban was fair, though the way it was investigated wasn't and Suarez has now been vilified by all corners of the media and it's turned unfairly into a which hunt. Suarez did neither the club or himself any favours yesterday and I'm angry it him for it. You can see from Evra's reaction it's the opportunity he was hoping for and boy did he make the most of it. I lack objectivity in this matter and though I have no issue with thinking Evra is a deeply unpleasant human being, I'm running out of excuses for the way Suarez acts when presented with an opportunity to move on, or not create extra controversy.

Both Fergie and Kenny need to show unity in the situation, not make stupid statements about banning players for life or handshakes not being seen etc. there are much bigger issues here than a local rivalry that need addressing and the best course of action would be to display some kind of unity between the two most successful clubs in English football against racism .

I feel pretty sad about the whole thing this morning, both clubs have seen fans charged with racist abuse this month and both managers have inflamed an already bad situation. Then this morning I learn that Kenny, his wife Marina and their kids have received death threats through Twitter . Is this really an acceptable level of behaviour over a game?

These are 'the system'. No component matching required. Active speakers, with internal DAC. However, I take your point, the are a few places where I could audition, but they're mostly down south. The cost of fuel for auditioning them would be more than the cost of return postage, should I decide they weren't for me after auditioning my own home.

I've heard nothing but praise for them, but don't see the point in upgrading unless the'll be significantly better than what I already have.

The plumber would have to put this through the books in some sort of way. Unless you paid cash upfront and he then went to his local supplier and paid cash for the boiler?

I'm guessing that he would have received a VAT invoice from his supplier. He probably did a hickey VAT invoice to you (Which you wouldn't receive), for the boiler only.

The labour part of the job would have been free of VAT?

I think the carpet is the least of your problems. What happens if the boiler packs up in 6 months. No invoice, no proof of purchase, what about the warranty? Your contract is with the supplier (The plumber) and based on your recent experiences, i can't see him being that helpful!

Have to agree, they are low rent doss houses now. When they were new, they were just a bit noisy, now.... We had one locally here in the UK when Formule were trying to expand accross the known Universe. It was used heavily after the local nightclub kicked out for certain liaisons....

Having written that, we still used our regular stop off in Challons en Champagne en route to the 3 Valleys a couple of weeks ago.

I did a check on premiums ie same details this year and next. With noy claims was £150 less than with 1 claim!

Back to the main question though, is the protected no claims transferable ie if I put it through with current insurere now, and then in August switch insurance co's, will they honour the fact I have no claims protection and not charge me extra ?

Ok, maybe it has different image problems, but I've sat in/driven a lot of BMs and Audis over the years, and I would say the interior of the Superb I sat in yesterday was certainly as well appointed and tactile as an A4 or 3 Series.

Oh, and it's the estate I'm interested in, which is about 50% less fugly than the hatch.

Definitely go through the insurance route. A small knock is unlikely to affect your premiums too much next time round. Let the insurers deal with it, you never know how these things will play out.

Is there a time limit on informing your insurer btw? Our policy specifies you have to inform them within 48 hours regardless of whether you're claiming or not.
