Bike Shufflin’ Time
I have five bikes in my cellar (Cannondale Prophet MX, Klein Atittude, Santa Cruz Chameleon, Kinesis Decade Virsa, Redline Monocog). This is soon to be six (I’m getting a Ragley MmmBop frame to build up). Remarkably for me, all five of my current bikes are intact complete bikes – no missing seat posts or brakes. And even more remarkably, each bike’s build is fairly normal/appropriate.

Slotted dropouts about to go on here next...
Instigated by the arrival of the MmmBop and a work requirement to change the current build of the Virsa, my bikes’ all-too-brief period of completeness and normality is about to cease.
The fork off the Prophet is going on the MmmBop. The wheels off the Klein are going on the Virsa. The wheels off the Virsa are going on the Prophet. The brakes off the Prophet are going on the MmmBop. The cranks off the Virsa are going on the MmmBop. The wheels off the Prophet are going on the MmmBop. I have new forks and brakes for the Virsa and the Prophet (Magura Durin SL, Tektro Auriga Pro discs and Manitou Minute, Magura Marta Magnesium SL’s respectively). I need to find a suitable replacement set of cranks to go on the Virsa. And a set of “any-old-disc-ones-will-do” wheels for the Klein. And various bits to complete the MmmBop.
At least the Chameleon and the Redline remain unaffected. For now.
Hopefully all this switcheroo-ing won’t take too long to complete. And at the end of it all I’ll have six complete bikes that aren’t just a horrid mish-mash of stuff.
Although I’ve not even begun working out the “what tyres?” conundrum… :-S

You need a short travel full sus bike and a UK downhill bike as well.
I’m working on the first one… And wondering about keeping hold of something in the office for the latter…
no roadie love? ;D
