And now it’s my turn…
It’s usually Sim or me, or sometimes Benji who gets to make this post but this time I’m the last one left in the office and can say ‘The magazine is at the printers!’
It’s gone on a Tuesday, which is a day earlier than usual (and a week earlier than our worst ever deadline) and it’s only cost Sim and I a Saturday of working in the office extra, so that’s good too. There have been the usual setbacks, last minute missing pages and things, but it’s gone pretty well overall. So now we can get round to working out what’s in the next issue, and indeed the whole of next year now. Should be fun.
But first, I have a half bottle of wine and some beans on toast to look forward to. There’ll be a contents list of the new issue on the website tomorrow. Night all!

Well timed! I’ve just got Ferrentino’s column left then I’ll have finished #52, looking forward to the new one already
yay – so only another week to 10 days for the complaints about how sub-standard the new issue is and how it’s lost its way!!!!!
to be fair MF’s column is getting a bit old. I know he’s your mate, but maybe he could have a rest?
Mike’s tried retiring a couple of times, but for every person who doesn’t get his stuff, there’s a couple that think it’s the best ever…

I’ve taken the mag since day one and i read it from cover to cover, almost every word. But recently i’m having to force myself to read MF’s column and failing.
I just keep thinking haven’t i read this before?
Dude, don’t remove the MF column, I really enjoy reading it. Could he be ST editor again for one issue at least?

I hope I didn’t give the impression in my first post that I’d been leaving Ferrentino until last like green beans that I’d pushed around my plate for half an hour and finally girded myself to force down – I think he’s great.
MF’s column is possibly one of the best things in ST, if not THE best. Him and Nature Boy tell it like it is… I like.
