Making Hay
Even though I spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday messing about on two wheels under scorching sunshine I still felt the urge to “play out” on Sunday afternoon.

Under the pretense of “just popping out to the corner shop”, I pulled out the Diamondback Bandito playbike from the cellar and went the “long way round”.
On my explore re-confirmed my theory that there is fun riding to be had EVERYWHERE…

A short but sweet section of singletrack that slalom'd its way through some roadside trees.

Wasteground singletrack is where it's at man.

A makeshift "jump spot" in the car park of the local probation centre.
I made it back to the house with a sweaty back, sore palms (I can’t ride without gloves these days!), a big grin… and I even remembered to swing by the corner shop for some essential provisions (bread, milk, beer).
Oh and as for the bike, it’s well good fun. It’s pops into the air with ease. It was interesting only riding with a (not very good) rear brake – quite commiting! It did help me get the idea of riding the bike more like a skateboard (pump, flow, lean, go-for-it). I want to take it to a BMX park and/or dirtjump spot ASAP!

you’re a brave man ben, riding a nice looking bike round those parts… a couple of mates have been chased recently down near the whalley pub just riding past in broad daylight.
It can’t be that good. Every time there’s a pic of it it’s on the floor… ;0)
I’m very much enjoying the kerbed banking “jumps” in ASDA car park at the mo.. quite tricky to time it right!
Its like ‘Shameless’ with a bike
