Eurobike 2015: NS

We took a trip to the NS stand, to see what the Polish bikeporn purveyors were displaying…

Although we caught a sneak peak of it at Core Bike a month or so ago, we’re finally able to talk about the new carbon Snabb – and a think of beauty it is indeed:

Feast yer eyes, people, feast yer eyes…

The frame alone is 500g lighter than the alu one. It sports a carbon front triangle and seatstay; the chainstay is still alloy. It’s €5599DSC_1081The carbon one gets a Monarch plus shock, and…DSC_1082…carbon bars. All the Snabbs now come with uprated shock bearingsDSC_1089The aluminium one gets a 1×11 upgrade, too. Looks tidy.  It’ll set you back €4,299

We especially liked these Enigma wheels (as seen on the Snabb E1).

DSC_1091You can also get the frame as a standalone thing. We think they’ve really done a number on the graphics for this year.

DSC_1099 .. I mean look at that.    DSC_1077LOOK AT THAT     DSC_1087 …and the eccentric Djambo is their 27.5+ offering. Looks pretty neat at €1659

Barney Marsh takes the word ‘career’ literally, veering wildly across the road of his life, as thoroughly in control as a goldfish on the dashboard of a motorhome. He’s been, with varying degrees of success, a scientist, teacher, shop assistant, binman and, for one memorable day, a hospital laundry worker. These days, he’s a dad, husband, guitarist, and writer, also with varying degrees of success. He sometimes takes photographs. Some of them are acceptable. Occasionally he rides bikes to cast the rest of his life into sharp relief. Or just to ride through puddles. Sometimes he writes about them. Bikes, not puddles. He is a writer of rongs, a stealer of souls and a polisher of turds. He isn’t nearly as clever or as funny as he thinks he is.
