Dan’s Top Ten For 2015

by 0

After his first trip to Eurobike, and only second time out of the country, our Dan’s picked his top ten bling things to test for 2015. It was a tough choice, but he’s young and we managed to keep him focussed long enough to write them down…

 DVO Diamond 27.5 Fork

My first pick of the products didn’t need much thought. I first got a glimpse of the Diamond at the Fort William World Cup and then got to see the finalised product at this year’s Eurobike. Evidently the fork is packed “full of special gubbins” and really looks the part.

Rocky Mountain Altitude 790 MSL

Noice
Noice

An enduro bike that has proved itself on the Enduro World Series  circuit this year, Rocky Mountain’s Altitude bike is pretty damn good looking and looks like it’ll eat up the terrain supported by Fox suspension front and rear.

Bell Full 9 helmet

Bell Full 9 Helmet

Bell’s new fully carbon full face helmet is a thing of beauty. Properly designed, with safety in mind, and it’s got loads of nice little features that make up a really good helmet. It’s good looking, lightweight, and with sweet curves.

Mavic Crossmax Enduro WTS Wheels

And it was all yellow...
And it was all yellow…

Mavic’s Crossmax Enduro WTS are probably the must-have wheelset of the moment, with a reputation for durability and strength. The Crossmax Enduros have been run on a number of EWS racer’s bikes this season and look to be the top hoops for your 160mm  27.5 thrasher bike.

Lapierre DH Team

Bonerific
Bonerific

Lapierre’s all new re-designed downhill bike was released earlier this year and definitely turned a few heads in the gravity-loving world. Slack, low and appealing to the peepers, the DH Team bike is one of the best looking big rigs on the market I reckon.

RaceFace Clothing

RaceFace clothing

After testing a little bit of RaceFace clothing, and after seeing all the fresh new threads at this year’s Eurobike show I would happily have a wardrobe full of this delightfully colourful and practical kit.

RockShox Boxxer World Cup

Just, yes
Just.. yes

There’s been  a real buzz about these forks for a while now, and everything I’ve heard about them so far seems to be pretty damn good. This is the top of my list for pimping my downhill bike.

Canyon Strive CF

Shifting shapes like a bad boi
Shifting shapes like a bad boi

Canyon’s new enduro weapon is an absolute beauty. After input from the whole enduro team the Strive CF is well equipped for any trail hammering and with its special Shape Shifting technology it should be able to climb like a dream as well.

Oakley Airbrake MX Goggles

Oakley Airbrake MX

Oakley’s new Airbrake MX goggles look the business and have been popular with many world cup riders this year.

Scott Gambler 710

Gambler 710

Super slack and built for absolute fun, the re-designed Gambler’s floating link turned a lot of heads. I reckon it could bring out the Brendan Fairclough in all of us.
