The Fort William round of the annual circus that is the Downhill World Cup is taking place this coming weekend. We are there, as we have been every year, and we will be beaming you news, images, gossip and our own patented sarcastic Twitter commentary of the racing itself along with anything else we see or, indeed, do.

We’ve set up a static social media feed page here that not only displays feeds from our dedicated @STWFortBill twitter account but also the tweets and postings from some of the top riders who will be racing on Sunday.

Join us online on Sunday for our unique and often sarcastic twitter commentary of the finals – the perfect accompaniment to the Red Bull live stream.

This year is pretty special as it marks Steve Peat’s final world cup round. After this race he is set to retire, although if he’s anything like Tracy Moseley his so called ‘retirement’ will still involve lots of high profile bike activity.

What Mark doesn’t know about social media isn’t worth knowing and his ability to balance “The Stack” is bested only by his agility on a snowboard. Graphs are what gets his engine revving, at least they would if his car wasn’t electric, and data is what you’ll find him poring over in the office. Mark enjoys good whisky, sci-fi and the latest Apple gadget, he is also the best boss in the world (Yes, he is paying me to write this).
