If that illustration style looks familiar, then that’s because you’ve probably seen it many times. Fans of The Ride Journal will instantly realise that it as Shan Jiang’s style that has graced every cover of The Ride’s ten issues over the years. And now, you have a chance to make your own illustrations with this grown ups’ colouring book. (They’re very in right now, don’t you know?)

What?? What’s next extreme dot to dot with spirographed vegetables?

Now, Extreme Dot To Dot is something I’d like to see.
XD2D! Live in the combat arena. To the death!

120 illustrations! Surely not all full page?
    Bargin.
What’s interesting looking at the ones above though is just how much of Shan Jiang’s style comes from the use of colour and how utterly beautiful and effective his choices are!

Hmmm – There are two different editions on Amazon with 2 different release dates.
    ISBN 1780677499
ISBN 1780677774 (cheaper and ships earlier and is the one listed on the publisher’s site, so is the one I was going to go for).
    Just FYI

    So the big question is….

Felts tips, pencil crayons, wax chubbies or pastels. Which is best?

I was thinking the same thing Pinkster. I’ve got some coloured inks that have sat so far unused – maybe I’ll try those. A steady hand with the brush required!
