Emerald Enduro - Enduro World Series
Ah, May. The time of bluebells and baby rabbits.

Emerald Enduro entries are open now, and only until four minutes to midnight! Places are being assigned by lottery, and you have today to sign up. That’s a 23:56 deadline, get to it.

May is such a fantastic time of year to ride: Often dry(ish), April winds gone, and everything natural sprouting furiously. The EWS will once more be spending that time around Carrick Mountain, County Wicklow, Ireland, from the 13th – 15th. You can find out more and see highlights at emeraldenduro.com

David started mountain biking in the 90’s, by which he means “Ineptly jumping a Saracen Kili Racer off anything available in a nearby industrial estate”. After growing up and living in some extremely flat places, David moved to Yorkshire specifically for the mountain biking. This felt like a horrible mistake at first, because the hills are so steep, but you get used to them pretty quickly. Previously, David trifled with road and BMX, but mountain bikes always won. He’s most at peace battering down a rough trail, quietly fixing everything that does to a bike, or trying to figure out if that one click of compression damping has made things marginally better or worse. The inept jumping continues to this day.

The organisation last year’s race was great, second only to the atmosphere. The noise and support even for just us amateur’s out at the start of the day, was brilliant. Sign up now, and good luck with your entry
