Thieving scumbags strike again.

As you’ll no doubt have heard if you’ve had half an eye on social media over the last 36 hours, scumbag bike thieves struck at round one of the UK Gravity Enduro at Triscombe, nr. Taunton in Somerset on Sunday.

WP_20150509_001Victims were Whyte, whose team lost three of their race bikes and MDE, which lost bikes from its demo fleet.

Details from Whyte:

“Thieves struck in the early hours of Sunday 10th May at Round 1 of the UK Gravity Enduro race at Triscome, Somerset. The race area and campsite were both hit. Breaking into the organiser’s motorhome around 4:00am, they stole a number of high-end bikes, including three of the Whyte Gravity Enduro Team’s G-150 Works race machines.

The stolen Whyte bikes, belonging to Whyte racers Martyn Brooks, Carl Jennings and Neil Halcrow are all the latest 2015 G-150 Works models in standard UK spec – SRAM X01 transmission, RockShox Pike RCT3, Monarch Plus Debonair rear shock, SRAM Rail 50 wheelset, Maxxis High Roller II tyres and Easton Haven cockpit.  Two size large and one size medium were taken, all in our signature bright burnt orange matt finish.

The attached photos show the bikes as they were, complete with race boards, just hours before they were stolen.

Avon and Somerset Police are investigating.”

Keep an eye out for the bikes around your local area, and if you see anything then drop the owners a line: give @Whyteracing a heads-up on Twitter for the missing Whytes, and email steveparr66@yahoo.co.uk for the MDE bikes.
