Kicking off the new financial year (as we mean to go on), with this London based team of crafty brew distributors. Honest Brew take the direct route to getting your hands on your favourite (and hard to find) craft beer. Annabel Causer reminds us how it all works…
Honest Brew is all about sharing our passion for craft beer. Head brew-chiefs Andrew Reeve and Craig Willmott began our Honest Brew days, kitchen-brewing and running pop-up sessions teaching others to brew their own beer. As these sessions got more popular they found that, while an overwhelming amount of people enjoyed craft beer, they didn’t seem to feel comfortable picking out a style or brewery they liked. Either that or they had trouble accessing the beer they wanted. We set out to solve these conundrums and make it easy for folks to enjoy craft beer.

Honest Brew is an online craft beer retailer revolutionising the way people discover craft beer. We provide a unique experience that tailors beers to people’s individual tastes and delivers direct to their homes and workplaces.
Honest Brew is all about helping people discover new and exciting beer from both local and international craft breweries. Quite simply, customers receive 12 different beers each month to match their personal flavour profile through our flexible Honesty Box service.
What’s your current best-selling/hottest product?
We have just listed five Kiwi breweries on the site and their beers are flying out the door. New Zealand grows some very sought-after hops and the breweries there are brewing some impressive beers. It’s great to be able to make these available to people in the UK. We’re now stocking beers from over 50 different breweries across UK, Europe, America and New Zealand.
Which product/brand does every staff member have on their bike?
Besides the London standard-issue U-Lock and crossed fingers? We’re all encouraged to carry one of these…
What was the last custom build you did?
We still can’t find anything to beat our original…
This is our nomadic brew kit that Andrew designed back in our early brewing days, and features its own little app to control the pump and temperature. From an old bath house in Hackney to the green fields of Hertfordshire, we’ve brewed with it in various places with all sorts of characters.
Is there a forthcoming event you think our readers should know about?
The UK is spoilt for great craft beer events. This year, we recommend you try the Liverpool Craft Beer Expo in June, London Brewers Market in July or Indy Man Beer Con in Manchester in October.
