The Big Mountain Enduro series finale race was called off for Saturday due to a massive rain storm. So after some coffee and real breakfast (rather than pre-race breakfast), Fabio and I decided to see how the trails were drying on Lower Porcupine Singletrack (LPS) and get the legs moving a little. It was a good chance to scout some lines, enjoy the view, and recover from Friday practice.

Madesimo Media Recce Energized by Scott
The Superenduro is the first international Enduro racing series thanks to its sponsors that always guarantee a great support as in the case of Madesimo during the third stage of the 2014 PRO race in which Scott gave us a real help! The Superenduro media crew was looking for a quick way to make a recce on the special stages and could not find a better solution than Scott Spark E-710 to get a boost on the climbs and on the long transfers.
Just to understand the momentum that the E-Spark 710 with Bosh engine, can give to a biker equipped with photo backpack, have a look at the comparison we made at min 1: 46 … Poor Dan … The result is that after a morning full of ups and downs across roads, trails, etc., using the maximum power available with the Turbo program, the battery was still charged for three-quarters and the legs of the guys practically ready for another round! Do not underestimate even the excellent manageability as Dan Foresi shows us in closing shot of the video where he rides light and stylish between the roots of the trails in Madesimo.

Bluegrass Enduro Tour Dublin-Djouce mountain
The 4th round of the Bluegrass Enduro Tour in Dublin-Djouce mountain this week end was run over two races: the men’s race was on Sunday, and the other reserved for women, on the same track was held the day before. A world first, and a dream opportunity for novices to take part in their first Enduro; in a relaxed atmosphere against an idyllic background.
In Dublin, Bluegrass and the local organiser Biking.ie had put on a great sporting spread offering participants a course made up of magnificent trails around the Irish capital city, starting and finishing at the spectacular Powerscourt waterfall. The number of participants had intentionally been limited to 50 lucky riders due to logistical constraints involved when organising a race over three different locations around Dublin all on the same day.
Two ‘fun’ days of full on competition with all the ingredients which make the Bluegrass Enduro Tour such a great success. Impeccable organisation, a brilliant atmosphere, and, in keeping with tradition, no one is allowed to ride the course in advance of the race.
