This week, we introduce Over-Ride Cycleworks
Over-Ride Cycleworks is the new kid on the Sheffield bike scene. They have been open for only four months but have really hit the ground running, making a huge impact in the area in a short space of time.
Martin (single-handed owner/mechanic/salesperson) takes up the story. ”The niche we feel we fill is one of a friendly and knowledgeable cycle-retail-workshop (‘Cycleworks’… get it!). My research suggested this is something somewhat lacking in Sheffield, depending on who you talk to!’
Cycleworks extol the virtues of correct tyre choice and do a roaring trade in Schwalbe tyres off and on road. Expect to walk out of the shop filled with enthusiasm for your next ride and for Singletrack readers, expect to be saturated with coffee and be converted to the ways of tubeless!
What’s your current best-selling/hottest product?
We are stockists of KTM and Lapierre bikes. KTM produce an entire range of accessories from pumps and tubes to bibshorts and freeride jersies. We also stock O’Neal, MET and Bluegrass which are proving to be huge this year and Royal Racing clothing, eternally popular. We are soon to be stocking Uberbike components and Static clothing (check them out…)
Tell us something about your shop/staff that all our readers really need to know…
The shop is the nearest cycle shop to the now infamous Parkwood Springs ‘City Centre, not Trail Centre’ mountain bike trail and is well worth stopping in to say hi next time you visit Sheffield and shred our local tracks.
We’re also over on Twitter, so come say hello and while our website is under construction (it’s very much a work in progress) we’ve loads of helpful advice, riding pointers and videos to get you going.
Is there a forthcoming event you think our readers should know about?
We are holding a Demo Day this coming weekend, Saturday 27 April for Lapierre at Parkwood Springs in Sheffield. We’ll have various sizes of 2013 Zesty, Spricy and XR ranges on show. It’s a bargain-tastic £5.00 for a couple of laps with all proceeds going to the Lady Canning Trail Development Fund. All welcome, but it would be nice if you could call in/phone to book a place (0114 272 8518).
What do Singletrack Premier Subscribers get from you guys?
Singletrack Premier readers benefit from free tea and coffee (I make a top latté) and importantly, reduced price servicing packages: Gold Service for the price of Silver, or Platinum Service for the price of Gold. Contact us for full details.
We can also do 10% discount on shop items on production of your Members Card and a special 20% discount on tyres and tubes.
