Thetford Summer Enduro Is On!

by 1

We’ve had this just in from Paul at Thetford MTB Racing. Fancy racing like a loon round Thetford Forest – in the actual daylight? Well, there’s a pairs and solo race coming up in June that might be just up your street. All three events finish at the same time (8pm) to allow time for prices and partying afterwards.

Here’s what Paul tells us:

We are please to announce that Thetford MTB Racing will be promoting this event again in 2013. We ran the event two years ago but unfortunately due to unforeseen issues were unable to run it in 2012. This event is a new style event held on Saturday June 29th in Thetford forest using fantastic singletrack and fast fire roads putting together a great eight mile loop that should be a joy to ride.

You have the choice of either a 10 hr Enduro starting at 10am on Saturday or the 8hr starting at Noon or the 6hr that gets going at 2pm, all the events finish at 8pm in the evening when prize giving for all the pairs and solo cats in all Enduro lengths will be presented.

The idea of doing the event on Saturday is so you can come along from Friday afternoon and wild camp in the forest (we say wild camp as you will need to bring your own water, but water can be got from a local park) you are also welcome to ride the course from Friday, chill out Friday evening, have a fun day on the Saturday doing the event and then stay again Saturday night and then make the most of the forest and go out and ride wild trails on the Sunday before heading home in the afternoon

Camping will be next to the course (limited spaces) and there will be catering on site from Saturday along with loos, proper timing from Timelaps, commentary and trade stands, first aid and marshal cover.

More info and registration for the event can be found on www.thetfordmtbracing.com
