The weekend is looming, there’s freedom in the air! While we all kill time ’til hometime, let’s get fresh with the goods, cos it’s, erm, Fresh Goods Friday!
First up here’s one of those inbetweener wheel size bikes:
Saracen Kili Flyer 650B
The Kili Flyer 650b is a modern take on what was a classic UK bike. Obviously the name gives away the fact it comes designed around the new middle way wheel size but the frame squeezes in most other modern standards too. A tapered headtube up front holds a pair of 130mm 15mm thru axle 27.5in Revelation RLTs which are matched to a Fox Float CTD Kashima shock at the back.
The frame features Saracen’s signature Tuned Ride Link suspension with 30mm main pivot cartridge bearings and 15mm Norglide linkage bushings. A stiff back end is aided by the 12x142mm dropouts. A Deore/SLX mixed drivetrain offers 3×10 gearing and stopping comes courtesy of Shimano’s M596 180/160mm disc brakes.
There’s a polite queue forming in the office to give this one a spin.
Pack your porridge when space is at a premium. Grasshopper Foods hopper pots pop into serving bowls on removing the lid. Just add boiling water.

Rockshox Revelation RCT3 29
We’ve a whole load of forks landing for our next group test, this week’s arrivals are from SRAM. First up the Revelation RCT3 29 featuring a 15mm thru axle and Dual Position Air, designed for “aggressive trail riding”. The forks feature the new Motion Control DNA system. We’re looking forward to seeing just how much more responsive and smoother the fork has become.

And with 150mm travel in 26in old skool flavour too.
Weldtite TF2 Care Pack
We like a good care pack for the workshop here at STW Towers. This week’s arrival is TF2 wet and dry lube to keep our test fleet’s chains nice and shiny and lithium grease for building up and maintaining bottom brackets, headsets and any other bearing work. TF2 also offer a replacement suspension fork oil which is available in 7.5wt and 5wt.
Dirtwash care pack
Also courtesy of Weldtite are the Dirtwash range on cleaning products featuring citrus degreasers to shift stubborn filth and handy sprocket brush to get into all the tricky nooks and crannies.
The Chameleon is a dual lens HD camera capable for filming two separate points of view simultaneously with two 170 degree lenses. The lenses can be angled independently and shoot HD 720p video which is synchronised into a split screen video automatically in camera.

Here’s Matt and Emily’s Alfie modelling his new Dog Buff. It comes in two, smaller, dog-neck sizes and it also has reflective bits so the little scamp is easier to spot in the dark. It can even be used as an emergency collar when it’s not simply making him look gorgeous.
Green Oil Agent Apple
Complete with ‘nam style graphics, Agent Apple is a new super-strong degreaser from Green Oil. As you might expect, it does it without petrochemicals. Green Oil says that many ‘Contains citrus’ degreasers also contain a lot of other components besides. Green Oil’s one uses plant alcohol to dissolve the grime, along with other fun stuff like grapefruit extract. This is a lighter weight degreaser for immersing your black, gunky chain and making it gleam again. It can also be sprayed on.

Giro Xar Helmet
The new issue of Singletrack is out now, with a trail helmets grouptest in it. This seems a good time to show you one of the new graphic designs that didn’t make it into the test and to tell you that the price for 2013 has come down from the £114.99 that we published to a new £99.99 price.
