“The Scottish Bike Show (TSBS), Scotland’s consumer cycle show, being staged at the SECC, Glasgow from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 April, has announced the confirmed exhibitor list to date for the 2012 event. The list has doubled in size in comparision to the same time last year.

So far, over 20 names have committed to next years show with a mix of both new and past exhibitors. Alpine Bikes are once again a confirmed sponsor. They will again be joined on the exhibition floor by Pedal Power, who have just moved into new premises in West Lothian with arguably the largest store in Scotland at over 7,000 sq feet.

Owner and Operator of Pedal Power, Jonny McBain, said: ‘Our stand has more than doubled in size since the last successful show – we were overwhelmed with the amount of visitors last April and look forward to doing it all again soon.’

A new distributor to the mix comes in the form of Upgrade Bikes Ltd. Marketing and Senior Brand Manager, Rory Hitchens, said: ‘Upgrade Bikes look forward to the Scottish Bike Show and bringing a host of fantastic brands to Glasgow. Visitors will be able to feast on new Pivot full suspension bikes, Kinesis UK road and hardtail mountain bikess, exquisite Lezyne accessories and DMR components.’

The exhibitor list is growing by the week and Rowan Mackie, from event organisers Magdala Media, said: ‘Already there is a strong list of brands confirmed for 2012. This time last year the inaugural show didn’t have half as many names confirmed, so I would like to thank all existing sponsors, exhibitors and partners for their early and continued support. There is a massive consumer appetite for all cycling affiliated events in Scotland and through TSBS we want to provide the best possible platform to showcase cycling in all its forms to the general Scottish public’
