Northern Downhill Enduro DH this weekend

If you fancy a bit of gravity based riding this weekend (5th/6th March) and you couldn’t get a place at the Steel City Mini DH, then the Northern Downhill Series are kicking of their season with a Mega Avalanche-style mass start enduro downhill at Kielder Forest, Northumberland.

Weather unlikely to be like this - but it will be a good laugh...

Once you’ve fought through a million elbows from the start line, the course is expected to take riders around 14 minutes to complete, with a total height drop of 450m. If you’re lucky, there may even be a bit of Mega-style snow to complete the experience. The course will have a climb of around 60m in the mid section, which the organisers say “will sort the men from the boys” but we reckon it’ll probably sort the fit from the weak regardless of gender.

There are categories from Junior to Veteran and the cost is £39, which includes practise and qualifying on Saturday 5th before the main race on Sunday the 6th March.
