Andy from Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team has got in touch to tell us about a Novice Adventure Race they’re
holding to support the work of the team. These are the guys that provided emergency medical support for us at the Singletrack Weekender last year and as with all Mountain Rescue teams, they’re all unpaid volunteers and rely on donations from the general public continue their vital work.
Anyway, the race is going to be held in Gisburn Forest in Tosside, Lancashire on Saturday the 2nd of April. Starting at 9am, the race will be four hours long and take in orienteering, off-road running, mountain biking with a few ‘mystery’ challenges thrown in to keep competitors on their toes.
You can enter on your own or as a pair and they’re promising load of great prizes as well as a free T-shirt for every entrant.
