Look! It’s a new site! STW Mk3 is here…

Unless you’ve never been here before or are spectacularly oblivious, you might have noticed that this front page of this website has changed a bit. In fact, the whole site has been overhauled and improved. What you see before you now is Singletrackworld Mark 3. Tom de Bruin has been hard at work, spending many, many days and night tinkering with the backend, bringing the site bang up to date.

As well as our new magic picture-news slider which highlights the most interesting content on the site along with and the rejigged columns, you might have noticed that there are little copies of the magazine right down at the bottom of the page. If you’re a Premier User, clicking on any of these will take you through to that issue in the Mag archive, where you can enjoy our multimedia packed online copies of the magazine. Get in.

Up at the top of the page is the control bar for your account, whether it’s standard or Premier. Here you can access your forum profile, change your avatar picture, alter settings or see what you’ve posted on the forum lately – useful if you had a few beers last night. You can also add favourites to keep track of what’s going on and put in your Twitter, YouTube and Flickr IDs so people can find you elsewhere (Edit Profile > Networks).

It’s also from this bar that you can manage your Premier account, settings and subscription, plus you can now remove the ad bar at the top of the page.

For people wishing to buy and sell kit on the Classifieds, that forum has now been split down the middle into For Sale and Wanted sections, which should make it easier to get your hands on what you want from the massive amount of second hand gear that changes hands.

Over the coming months we’re going to be working on lots of other exciting new features, so keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, there’s also a ‘new site’ thread on the forum, so if you’ve got any ideas, suggestions or problems with the new-look site then stick your oar in HERE.
