Bloody hard but worth it - I spent much of the first 50 in a dark state of mind thinking i had no chance of finishing - Newcastleton was the turning point: great food, great people, great trails and the belief i could do it returned - finally crossed the line at 8pm and rode straight to the beer trailer - never tasted so good!

Such a great day, best moment for me was getting to Newcastleton and the people there cheering you on. I did think that the placement of finish line could have been better as there was no where for a sprint finish / crossing the line gesture. should be even better next year as the new trails will be packed down properly.

I constantly think about next years race, I can't get it out of my head... nothing even comes close. Next year I'll finish, hopefully

Your name up in lights again Mike, and well deserved. Can't keep the event out of my head and I didn't even go! Really hope it is a weekend I can make next year, something to really aim for.
